Dr. Gosselin currently focuses on the development, implementation, and evaluation of scalable, non-pharmacological interventions aimed at improving psychological, physiological, and performance outcomes in healthcare and educational settings. Grounded in educational psychology, performance science, and psychophysiology, his work emphasizes music- and technology-driven approaches, including digital media, virtual reality, and simulation, to reduce stress, anxiety, and burnout while enhancing learning, teamwork, and clinical performance. The central aim of this program of research is to identify underlying mechanisms of action, such as cognitive load and stress regulation, to inform the design of interventions that are both effective and readily disseminated across diverse populations. Dr. Gosselin鈥檚 earlier work in faculty development, with a focus on online teaching and learning, continues to inform this research trajectory.
In parallel, Dr. Gosselin brings extensive experience in clinical and translational research, having served as the lead biostatistician and collaborator on drug, device, and digital health trials. This includes work on first-in-human oncology studies and investigational medical technologies in cardiology and pediatrics. His contributions span study development, statistical analysis, and regulatory-aligned methodologies to support the advancement of innovative therapies from early-phase testing through implementation.
Dr. Gosselin鈥檚 career reflects a diverse and interdisciplinary portfolio of research and collaboration across multiple fields. He has held leadership roles including Associate Dean, Executive Director of Academics and Biostatistics, and Director of Medical Education Research, and has contributed to academic programs through faculty appointments spanning education, psychology, kinesiology, dentistry, medicine, and nursing. This breadth of experience supports a highly collaborative and integrative approach to research that bridges disciplines and advances innovation across educational and clinical contexts.
