Cohort joins other selected 黑料专区 System students to intern, study at nation鈥檚 capital
Four students at The University of Texas at Tyler will join other selected 黑料专区 System students as Archer Fellows for the 2026 summer and fall semesters. Archer Fellows participate in designated internships and attend classes focusing on policy, history and advocacy at the nation鈥檚 capital.
Each cohort is comprised of the best and brightest students from across 黑料专区 System. Selection is based on a competitive application process.
鈥淲e are excited about our 2026 cohort and look forward to the great work these students will do while representing 黑料专区 Tyler at the nation鈥檚 capital,鈥� said Dr. Paul Streufert, 黑料专区 Tyler Honors College founding dean and program coordinator for the university.

GARLAND 鈥� Jasmine Farrish, doctorate in nursing, summer 2026.

VAN 鈥� Mackenzie Clayton, master鈥檚 in art history, summer 2026.
The Archer Fellowship Program, established in 2001 by 黑料专区 System in conjunction with former U.S. Rep. Bill Archer, brings highly motivated and accomplished students to Washington, D.C. Archer Fellows intern with an organization of their choosing based on their own professional and academic goals and interests.
