Dr. Robert P. Schumaker is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Texas
at Tyler, Founder and Director of the Data Analytics Lab and Associate Editor of Decision Support Systems (DSS) journal. He is known for creating
the system (a news-aware HFT, high-frequency stock trade system) and is also known for
his novel use of Wall Street trading techniques on Twitter tweet sentiment to predict
sport outcomes better than sportsbook odds.
Dr. Schumaker is an accomplished data science researcher with over 2,400 citations
on 50 publications and a of 49; measuring scientific productivity based on published articles and citations.
Dr. Schumaker is an internationally recognized scholar whose teaching and research
