Biography

JOHN D. 鈥淒ANNY鈥� MOGLE

Professional Experience

I have worked as a professional journalist for over 30 years, dating back to my years in college. Currently I am the editor and chief writer for IN Magazine, a magazine about the culture of East Texas. I also write for the Tyler Morning Telegraph. I also help edit a parenting magazine, 鈥淪mall Town Kids.鈥�

My duties include creating content presented in print, digital (websites and social media) and video formats. I am a co-host for a web-based show called 鈥淚NLive,鈥� that features content from the magazine.

Over the years, I have served as an on-air contributor to the CBS-19 TV in Tyler and for six months hosted a local radio program called 鈥淚n Touch with East Texas.鈥�

I have taught students how to write better and write for mass media for six years.

Education

I have a bachelor鈥檚 degree from The University of Texas at Austin and a master鈥檚 degree from The University of Texas at Tyler. I receive ongoing professional development.
