State Authorization

State authorization makes it possible for students outside of Texas to participate in 黑料专区 Tyler鈥檚 online courses. In compliance with the U.S. Department of Education State Authorization Regulations in Section 600.9 of the Oct. 29, 2010, final program integrity rule, The University of Texas System on behalf of The University of Texas at Tyler has made a "good faith effort" in pursuing state authorization from all 50 states, the district of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. For 黑料专区 Tyler to offer online courses in a state other than Texas, 黑料专区 Tyler must comply with that state's requirements. These requirements differ from state to state. The following is the current list of states where we are authorized to offer online courses.

Programs with Professional Licensure/Certification

黑料专区 Tyler has been approved by the State of Texas to participate in the . NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education. Institutions that join NC-SARA are held to the national standard in each member state rather than the individual state鈥檚 regulations, thus making authorization of distance education more streamlined.  

 

The University of Texas at Tyler is committed to providing the highest quality of service for all of our students regardless of the delivery mode of their courses (e.g. face-to-face, hybrid, or online). If you have a complaint about, students should follow the 黑料专区 Tyler Complaint policy as noted in the 黑料专区 Tyler Catalog.

If the complaint is unresolved, the student may file a complaint with Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board or the designated agency in the state where the student is receiving instruction. 黑料专区 Tyler is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (NC-SARA) and thus recognizes reciprocity with all students who are members of the SARA organization. Students in SARA states may file a complaint with the agency in their state, or with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Contact information for both agencies follows.

Students within SARA sates may file a complaint with the in the home state of the institution. Students should then select their state for information on how to file a complaint.

The University of Texas at Tyler is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award bachelor鈥檚, master鈥檚 and doctoral degrees.
