Beginning September 1, 2015 candidates will be limited to four attempts to retake any educator certification examination. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is implementing this change to Texas Education Code 搂21.048 in response to HB 2205, 84th Texas Legislature, 2015. 

1st Attempt on Content TExES:

• To prepare for the TExES Content test students will need sign up for and complete a minimum of 6 hours of practice. The discount code is TYLER4728. This will reduce the cost from $80 to $35.
  
  
• Upon making a score of 240 on the Practice Test the student may to take the content test. Students will be required to upload a screenshot with the score and evidence of six hours of preparation.

• Students cannot be approved to take the content test until a score of 240 has been earned  on the practice test and 6 hours of practice has been completed via .

 

Before any Retest Attempts:

• For undergraduate candidates
  • Schedule an appointment with Mrs. Cynthia Sherman to develop an appropriate remediation plan.
• For Grad Teach candidates
  • Schedule an appointment with Dr. Staci Zolkoski to develop an appropriate remediation plan.
• For Professional Certification candidates
  • Schedule an appointment with your Program Coordinator to develop an appropriate remediation plan.
