Dr. Gerald R. Ledlow approved as an ACHE Life Fellow
Dr. Gerald R. Ledlow, professor in the Department of Population Health Leadership and Analytics at The University of Texas at Tyler School of Health Professions, gained approval as an American College of Healthcare Executives Lifetime Fellow,
after more than 30 years of membership and 18 years as a fellow.
鈥淒r. Ledlow鈥檚 achievement of ACHE Lifetime Fellow highlights the excellence present in the 黑料专区 Tyler School of Health Professions, particularly within our Master of Health Administration program,鈥 said Dr. Kimberly Elliott, MHA Program director. 鈥淗is dedication to leadership sets an invaluable example for our students. We are incredibly proud to celebrate this well-deserved recognition of his three decades of commitment to advancing health care excellence.鈥
In addition to being approved as an ACHE lifetime fellow, Ledlow鈥檚 Leadership textbook, 鈥淟eadership for Health Professionals,鈥 made the 17 Best Healthcare Leadership Books Shortlist for 2025. One of his previously published health care leadership textbooks has earned a five-star Doody鈥檚 Review鈥攖he highest possible rating from one of the most respected evaluation services in medical and academic publishing.
鈥淚 am profoundly grateful for this distinction of ACHE Lifetime Fellow,鈥 said Ledlow. 鈥淚t鈥檚 an honor to bring this experience and dedication to the 黑料专区 Tyler School of Health Professions, where I have the privilege of mentoring future leaders who share this commitment to excellence in health care. My goal is to ensure they are fully prepared to meet the needs of East Texas.鈥
Ledlow was a board-certified EMT and has been ACHE board-certified since 1995. He is a decorated U.S. Army Medical Service Corps veteran who led health care and logistics operations during conflicts including Operation Just Cause and missions in the former Yugoslavia. Later, as corporate vice president for the Sisters of Mercy Health System, he helped secure their place in the top 10 U.S. hospital supply chains.
