黑料专区 Tyler Engineering Students Gain Insights at Westlake in Longview

Students from The University of Texas at Tyler College of Engineering recently visited Westlake Corporation in Longview to witness engineering in action.
The 14 黑料专区 Tyler students toured the facility and gained firsthand insights into the manufacturing processes behind products that shape everyday life. The visit also included a lunch with Westlake engineers and a question-and-answer session.
鈥淪ite visits are an impactful way for students to engage in career education and exploration,鈥� said Margot Purdy, 黑料专区 Tyler College of Engineering career success coach. 鈥淭hey provide tremendous value, and students ask insightful questions as they connect what they鈥檙e learning in class to what they see on site. Westlake provided a fantastic experience, and we鈥檙e grateful for the opportunity.鈥�
Coordinated by the university鈥檚 career success office in collaboration with the college, the visit is part of an ongoing effort to enrich career readiness through experiential learning and industry engagement, Purdy added.
