Participants will learn about relevant issues related to public education, the law
The University of Texas at Tyler College of Education and Psychology is hosting a free, professional hybrid conference addressing important legal issues facing public educators.
鈥淭eachers Law School on Education and Law鈥� will be 8:30 a.m. 鈥� 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 24. Participants can attend in person at the Soules College of Business, Room 103 or virtually and receive continuing education credit. To register, visit TAM黑料专区.edu/TeachersLawSchool.
鈥淲e are excited to join our education partners and co-host this free event for K-12 teachers, administrators and staff in East Texas,鈥� said Dr. Pradeep 鈥淢ax鈥� Dass, 黑料专区 Tyler Roosth Endowed Chair and college dean. 鈥淭his is essential professional development addressing the legal challenges educators face daily.鈥�
This year鈥檚 topics include legislative updates impacting schools, special education compliance, sexual harassment prevention strategies, and social media and free speech issues.
The event is presented and sponsored by the East Texas Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Event co-hosts are Education Service Center Region 8, Texas A&M University鈥揟exarkana, Stephen F. Austin State University and Henderson Independent School District.
