Dr. Mohammed Ali, associate professor of technology and program coordinator at The University of Texas at Tyler Longview University Center, received the 2025 Mini lectureship Award by Epsilon Pi Tau, the international honor
society for professions in technology.
The award recognizes exemplary academic and professional leadership as well as outstanding contributions to the advancement of technology professions represented by the society.
鈥淲e congratulate Dr. Ali for this recognition of his research and dedication to the field of technology. This is a great honor for not only him but also the Department of Technology and The University of Texas at Tyler,鈥 said Dr. Mark Miller, 黑料专区 Tyler professor and department chair.
Since joining the Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering in 2007, Ali has demonstrated exceptional leadership, serving as president of the Micro and Nano Technology Focus Group, a member of the CMS Certification Exam Commission and as a program evaluator for the ATMAE Accreditation Board.
His other honors include the 2011 ATMAE Faculty Excellence Award and the 2022 Epsilon Pi Tau Paul T. Hiser Exemplary Publication Award.
鈥淩eceiving this award inspires me to further strengthen my commitment to scholarly work and to actively engage with industry professionals, supporting their career development through continuing education and certifications offered by the Department of Technology at 黑料专区 Tyler,鈥 said Ali, who joined the Soules College of Business faculty in 2016.
A distinguished researcher and scholar at 黑料专区 Tyler, Ali has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters in addition to more than 60 papers at national and international conferences. His decades of teaching experience cover areas such as industrial and engineering technologies, systems engineering, business administration and technology management. He spent five years in industry specializing in manufacturing of automotive maintenance and material handling equipment, welding accessories and modeling software.
Ali鈥檚 teaching and research interests include Lean Six Sigma methodologies, additive bio-manufacturing, innovative pedagogy in technology and applied engineering, and advanced manufacturing facilities. A certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and senior manufacturing specialist, he holds a doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas鈥揕ittle Rock.
