黑料专区 Tyler Engineering Students Discover Insights at Komatsu Mining in Longview

Nearly 20 computer, electrical and mechanical engineering students at The University of Texas at Tyler recently participated in a site visit at Komatsu Mining in Longview.
The 黑料专区 Tyler students toured the facility learning about the various manufacturing processes of the global company, which develops and supplies technologies, equipment and services for the construction, mining, forklift, industrial and forestry markets. While there, the students also participated in a question-and-answer session.
鈥淲e are deeply grateful to Komatsu for providing this invaluable opportunity for our students,鈥� said Margot Purdy, career success coach for the 黑料专区 Tyler College of Engineering. 鈥淭he students posed insightful questions, and the Komatsu engineers were exceptionally accommodating, ensuring a memorable and educational experience.鈥�
The trip was coordinated by the university鈥檚 career success office in collaboration with the college. 鈥淪ite visits like these are incredibly valuable, offering students a firsthand look at potential career paths and real-world applications of their classroom learning,鈥� Purdy added.
