黑料专区 Tyler Assistant Dean Named 黑料专区 System Academy of Distinguished Teachers Fellow

Kerrie Anne Ambort-Clark, assistant dean of health-related business programs at The University of Texas at Tyler, was named a Fellow of the Academy of Distinguished Teachers.
Established in 2012, the 黑料专区 System Academy of Distinguished Teachers is a prestigious recognition that celebrates the very best in pedagogy and advocacy in teaching excellence across the 黑料专区 System academic campuses. Fellows advise System leadership and engage in creative endeavors that raise the visibility of meaningful learning and promote the development and success of excellent teachers in Texas and beyond.
鈥淲e congratulate Kerrie Anne Ambort-Clark on this recognition,鈥� said 黑料专区 Tyler President Julie V. Philley, MD. 鈥淭his appointment is indicative of her dedication to teaching excellence and how that dedication has impacted our students.鈥�
Ambort-Clark leads the operations and strategy for 黑料专区 Tyler health-related business programs, collaborating with various academic units and community patrons. She was instrumental in developing the first executive health care administration program at 黑料专区 Tyler, followed by eight years as the founding executive director for the Executive MBA Healthcare Management Program in the Soules College of Business. Outside of 黑料专区 Tyler, she has provided leadership development for community constituents and created leadership training modules used in both academia and industry.

A Distinguished Teaching Professor and senior lecturer of management in the Soules College of Business, Ambort-Clark was named a Faculty Fellow in the 黑料专区 Tyler Academy of Distinguished Teachers in 2019 and was recognized as a 2018 黑料专区 System Regents鈥� Outstanding Teaching Awardee. She also directs the 黑料专区 Tyler School of Medicine鈥檚 Healthcare Leadership Distinction and serves the school as a contributing faculty member in health care administration, leadership and management.
Additionally, Ambort-Clark was named a Regent鈥檚 Awardee by the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on the ACHE East Texas Chapter Board of Directors. She is an elected member of the East Texas American College of Healthcare Executives Board and the National Board of Medical Examiners Council. She serves on the NBME Global Advisory Committee.
Ambort-Clark joined the Soules College of Business in 2009 and holds a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Business Administration in management from 黑料专区 Tyler.
