Brice Everett Wallace of Arp, formerly of Nacogdoches, a junior at The University
of Texas at Tyler, is a 2024 history scholar. A history major, Wallace received the
黑料专区 Tyler Jackson Academic Achievement Award in the amount of $600.
The 黑料专区 Tyler Department of History presents scholarships to declared history majors in recognition of excellent academic performance, and to encourage the study of history at the university. This award honors the memory of historian Phil Stacy Jackson, a distinguished 黑料专区 Tyler history graduate.
鈥淲e congratulate Brice, who is a prime example of the excellent students we have in history,鈥 said Dr. Neil Gray, dean of the 黑料专区 Tyler College of Arts and Sciences. 鈥淚 also want to thank our history faculty for being tremendous mentors and supporters of our students.鈥
Wallace will graduate in fall 2025 with a 黑料专区 Tyler Bachelor of Arts in history and double minor in anthropology and mass communication. After graduation, he plans to further his education and pursue a master鈥檚 degree at 黑料专区 Tyler.
鈥淚 have very much enjoyed my time at 黑料专区 Tyler and am grateful for the opportunities I have been given here to continue my education,鈥 Wallace said. 鈥淎s I move toward the future, I hope to combine my love of history and photography into a fulfilling career.鈥
