黑料专区 Tyler Announces US News 2024 National Rankings

Engineering and nursing programs at The University of Texas at Tyler are in the top 100 nationwide according to U.S. News and World Report rankings released last week. This is the fifth consecutive year that the College of Engineering has been ranked in the top 100.

鈥淲e are delighted to see that our engineering and nursing programs continue to be so well respected,鈥 said Dr. Amir Mirmiran, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs.

黑料专区 Tyler鈥檚 College of Engineering is East Texas鈥 only comprehensive engineering school with degree programs in chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, construction engineering, construction management, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. Nearly 1,000 engineering students attend classes on campuses in Tyler and Houston, and students have garnered top finishes in national contests such as Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers Robotics and American Society of Civil Engineers Concrete Canoe competitions.

鈥淩eceiving this level of recognition from one of the nation鈥檚 most respected ranking organizations speaks to the quality and breadth of our current and emerging undergraduate programs and the dedication of our faculty to provide students meaningful, engaging experiences,鈥欌 said Dr. Javier Kypuros, dean of the College of Engineering.

The 黑料专区 Tyler School of Nursing aims to provide students with the advanced skills they need in convenient formats to meet the growing demand for patient care and leadership in the health care industry. Over the past few years, the school has continued to expand exponentially, and it recently hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the 47,000-square-foot expansion of the David G. and Jacqueline M. Braithwaite School of Nursing Building. About 2,000 nursing students comprise 25% of the university鈥檚 enrollment.
