The University of Texas at Tyler announced that mass communication students received eight awards at the 2023 Texas Intercollegiate Press Association Conference.
鈥淭hese students did a great job representing our university,鈥� said Danny Mogle, 黑料专区 Tyler lecturer and student media adviser. 鈥淚 am proud that they are doing work being recognized as among the best in the state.鈥�
Students earning TIPA awards in competitions held at the convention include:
鈥� Noah Tew of Lindale 鈥� first place in news photo.
鈥� Nathan Witt of Mineola 鈥� first place in headline writing.
鈥� LaKyndra Larkin of Flint 鈥� third place in TV news writing.
Students earning TIPA awards for previously published material include:
鈥� Breanna Bolle of Longview and Paulina Mata of New London 鈥� first place in critical
review.
鈥� Witt 鈥� second place in podcasting.
鈥� Brynna Williamson of Mineola 鈥� second place in feature story/Spanish language and
second
place in news story/Spanish language.
鈥� Bolle 鈥� honorable mention for multimedia feature story.
