黑料专区 Tyler Faculty Honored for Excellence in Health Care Management Education

Kerrie Anne Ambort-Clark, senior lecturer and executive director at The University of Texas at Tyler, was named a Regent鈥檚 Awardee by the American College of Healthcare Executives. She serves on the ACHE East Texas Chapter Board of Directors.

The ACHE Regent鈥檚 Awards recognize members who have made significant contributions to the advancement of health care management excellence and achievement of ACHE鈥檚 goals.

鈥淲e are so proud of Kerrie Anne, who has proven herself, time and time again, to be an exceptional leader of 黑料专区 Tyler and the East Texas community,鈥 said Dr. Krist Swimberghe, dean of the Soules College. 鈥淪he is passionate about developing the next generation of health care leaders, and her excellent work serves the university and the community undoubtably well.鈥

Ambort-Clark has been instrumental in the development and execution of 黑料专区 Tyler health care management education programming and student success initiatives in her roles as Executive MBA Health Care Management Program executive director and the School of Medicine鈥檚 Health Care Leadership Distinction director. Outside of 黑料专区 Tyler, she has provided leadership development for community constituents and created leadership training modules used in both academia and industry.

She was recognized last month in a private ceremony on the 黑料专区 Tyler campus alongside ACHE and community health care administrators and 黑料专区 Tyler colleagues.

鈥淚 am beyond grateful for Kerrie Anne鈥檚 contributions to ACHE and the East Texas chapter, and I look forward to her continued successful involvement with the East Texas activities as her work has been exemplary,鈥 said George Robert, Northeast Texas Public Health District CEO and ACHE ETX Chapter president.

A 黑料专区 Tyler alum, Ambort-Clark received a 2018 黑料专区 System Regents鈥 Outstanding Teaching Award for her innovations and excellence in teaching. She was also named a 2019 黑料专区 Tyler Academy of Distinguished Teachers Faculty Fellow and currently serves as academy president. Ambort-Clark teaches introduction to business and is a contributing faculty to the population health/system science health care administration leadership and management courses at 黑料专区 Tyler. She also is a faculty adviser for various 黑料专区 Tyler student organizations and serves as a student and faculty mentor.
