The University of Texas at Tyler has recently announced its partnership in 黑料专区 System鈥檚 Grow with Google initiative that will make Google Career Certifications available to students across eight 黑料专区 System academic institutions. 黑料专区 System鈥檚 announcement earlier this month marks Google鈥檚 largest university partnership to date.
Through this initiative and with the support of the Coursera platform, 黑料专区 System institutions, including 黑料专区 Tyler, will embed the certificates into undergraduate degree programs and co-curricular experiences at no additional cost to students.
鈥淲e are both delighted and fortunate to participate in 黑料专区 System鈥檚 Grow with Google initiative,鈥� said Amir Mirmiran, PhD, 黑料专区 Tyler provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. 鈥淔aculty can identify opportunities to match certificates with programs of study and provide students with access to the Career Certificate courses on the Coursera platform, further positioning students for great success in the modern workforce upon graduation.鈥�
Grow with Google Career Certifications can be completed in less than six months and include Project Management, UX Design, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing and E-Commerce, IT Support and IT Automation with Python. In addition to the Grow with Google program, 黑料专区 Tyler currently has access to the full Coursera Catalog, which includes over 5,300 courses and over 2,000 virtual labs.
鈥淥ur criminal justice and psychology departments have already launched programs including Grow with Google Career Certificates, and more opportunities are on the way for 黑料专区 Tyler students,鈥� said Poonam Kumar, EdD, 黑料专区 Tyler associate provost for online and continuing education. 鈥満诹献�区 Tyler continues to identify micro-credential and certificate opportunities to ensure that graduates are broadly educated and specifically skilled for 21st century careers.鈥�
