The University of Texas at Tyler announced that Patriot Athletics has unveiled its new brand identity system, which highlights 黑料专区 Tyler鈥檚 mascot, Swoop. Featuring four new logo marks, the identity system will be rolled out over the coming year and kicked off today with the start of practices for fall sports programs.
鈥満诹献�区 Tyler athletics has a long history of success, and the new athletic marks will contribute to building on the already positive reputation of the university鈥檚 athletic programs,鈥� said 黑料专区 Tyler President Kirk A. Calhoun, MD, FACP. 鈥淥ur Patriot athletics programs are an important way that we engage with our students, our alumni and our community.鈥�
Following a thorough review and consultation with 黑料专区 Tyler student-athletes, student leaders, faculty, staff, donors and alumni, the marks were developed to leverage the strategy and brand equities of the new 黑料专区 Tyler institutional logo, as well as that of the 黑料专区 Health East Texas System brand.
鈥淲ith this refreshed identity, we鈥檙e listening to our students, alumni and student-athletes, who have always enjoyed rooting for our teams and our mascot, Swoop,鈥� said 黑料专区 Tyler Vice President of Athletics, Howard Patterson, PhD. 鈥淲e鈥檙e excited to start the new season with the new uniforms and branding.鈥�
Home to 17 intercollegiate sports, the 黑料专区 Tyler Patriots compete in NCAA Division II and are members of the Lone Star Conference. The new athletics brand will be included in a relaunched Patriot athletics website, uttylerpatriots.com, to begin the academic year and in other settings throughout this season.
