The University of Texas at Tyler announced this week a partnership with Martin Resource Management Corporation to improve the region鈥檚 college completion rate and fortify the East Texas workforce.
As a part of the partnership, Martin Resource Management has made an investment in 黑料专区 Tyler for student and faculty success projects at the Soules College of Business to promote the future East Texas workforce.
Currently, less than 50 percent of high school students in East Texas pursue higher education.
"The goal of this partnership is to further the education of all our students in East Texas,鈥 said Dr. Michael Tidwell, 黑料专区 Tyler president. 鈥淚n a time where careers are becoming more complex and the competition for good jobs is becoming more intense and more international, high school students of East Texas should know that 黑料专区 Tyler and Martin Resource Management are dedicated to their success.鈥

To commemorate the partnership, 黑料专区 Tyler named a classroom in the Soules College of Business for the industry leader.

For nearly 70 years, Martin Resource Management has been adding value to the energy industry. Growing from a small family business with one man and one truck, Martin Resource Management is now nationally renowned for delivering over a quarter of a billion gallons of diesel fuel and lubricants yearly. The business has grown to over 600 trucks and 1,300 trailers nationwide.
