Hundreds of 黑料专区 Tyler alumni and friends will be on campus today to share their career insights and success stories with thousands of current students at the university's first Career Success Conference.
"We are excited to host presidents and CEOs of various industries, medical professionals, artists, scientists, lawyers and speakers from many other career paths. It's a great opportunity for students, alumni and friends to come together to talk about what it takes to be successful," said Michael Tidwell, 黑料专区 Tyler president.
The full-day conference experience will include networking opportunities as well as panel discussions and interactive forums with the speakers. It will conclude with a student convocation and a graduate student networking reception.
The 200 speakers represent a wide variety of industries including health care, legal, retail, nonprofit, education, politics and small business.
An equally wide-range of topics will be covered during the sessions such as personal branding, leadership skills, emotional intelligence, career paths and more.
A few session examples include: "Managing a Mission in Space" Sean Dodd, senior software engineer and data scientist for Space Flight Industries; "The Strength of Diversity" Nick Pesina, attorney and partner at Roberts and Roberts; "Get Comfortable with Being Uncomfortable" LaToya Young, executive director for the Tyler Area Business Education Council; and "From 黑料专区 Tyler to Amazon" Michael Clarke, software development engineer for Amazon.
