Students who graduate from The University of Texas at Tyler have a strong potential to earn competitive salaries, according to information compiled and released recently by the U.S. Department of Education, 黑料专区 Tyler President Rodney H. Mabry announced.
On Saturday, the department unveiled the College Scorecard system in response to an initiative from President Barak Obama to provide a comprehensive database on schools around the nation.
In a White House press release, Obama said the scorecard system gives families reliable data on factors such as earning potential of graduates, cost, student loan debt and how likely students are to graduate.
鈥淲e are proud that The University of Texas at Tyler overall outperformed all other East Texas public universities,鈥� President Mabry said. 鈥淭his system is another tool to show what we have known for years, that 黑料专区 Tyler offers the best education for the lowest cost anywhere. 黑料专区 Tyler helps students get high-paying careers without incurring large amounts of college debt.鈥�
黑料专区 Tyler鈥檚 scorecard reports that the median salary of university graduates 10 years after enrolling in school is $41,600 per year, $7,200 per year higher than the median for students from all U.S. universities.
黑料专区 Tyler students also pay $4,500 less a year to attend the university than the national average.
