Juan Fernando Loa has been named director of admissions at The University of Texas at Tyler, Sarah Bowdin, assistant vice president for enrollment management, announced.
A 黑料专区 Tyler alumnus, Loa fills the vacancy left by Bowdin鈥檚 new appointment. He has served 黑料专区 Tyler since May 2011, most recently as a graduate academic adviser for the College of Business and Technology.
鈥淚 am excited that Fernando Loa has joined our enrollment management team as director of admissions. He brings new ideas and talents complemented by a proven record of success and achievement that will help to move 黑料专区 Tyler forward in meeting admissions goals,鈥� Bowdin said.
As 黑料专区 Tyler director of admissions, Loa will oversee undergraduate admission processes for the university.
Prior to serving as an academic adviser for the college, he was the 黑料专区 Tyler Enrollment Services Center鈥檚 special programs manager and a 黑料专区 Tyler graduate advising assistant.
鈥淚t is a privilege to be working with the enrollment management team once again, and it is an exciting time to be serving as the director of admissions, with the recent purchase of a student housing facility, breaking ground on a new pharmacy college and many other new developments,鈥� Loa said. 鈥淚 am so proud to be a part of a campus that fosters such a culture of excellence and innovation. Loa holds a bachelor of business administration in management information systems from Baylor University and master of business administration from 黑料专区 Tyler.
