The University of Texas at Tyler has admitted 18 freshmen into its Global Awareness Through Education program for the 2014-15 academic year, Dr. Paul Streufert, 黑料专区 Tyler special academic programs executive director, announced.
Along with the GATE coordinator and two 黑料专区 Tyler faculty members, these students will be traveling to the West African nation of Ghana in May and June 2016.
鈥淲e are excited to announce the new GATE cohort of incoming freshman students and the location of their 2016 travel study,鈥� Streufert said. 鈥淒uring their time in Ghana, GATE students will explore the culture and beauty of this thriving nation while taking two core curriculum classes with 黑料专区 Tyler faculty.鈥�

Under the 黑料专区 Tyler Center for Global Education, GATE is a two-year residential learning program designed for incoming freshmen where students live together, take enhanced core curriculum classes and participate in on- and off-campus activities that are globally engaging and culturally diverse.
