The next exhibition at The University of Texas at Tyler Meadows Gallery is 鈥榙ovetails,鈥�
beginning on Monday, March 16, Ray Sikes, gallery coordinator announced.
The public exhibition features 黑料专区 Tyler professor of art James R. Pace and 黑料专区 Tyler alumna Philana Oliphant. A reception and gallery talk will be 6 鈥� 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19 at the gallery.
The exhibition continues Friday, April 17.
The Meadows Gallery is located in the 黑料专区 Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. 鈥� 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by special appointment.
Oliphant has exhibited work nationally and internationally for more than 25 years. She currently teaches drawing, three-dimensional design and art appreciation courses at Tyler Junior College. Her work has been included in several museum collections, and she has received special recognition in numerous juried competitions. Oliphant holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in printmaking, sculpture and drawing from 黑料专区 Austin and a bachelor of fine arts from 黑料专区 Tyler.
Pace has exhibited his work nationally and internationally since 1976, and he has received numerous awards for his painting, drawings, prints and mixed media work. He continues to serve as juror, lecturer and visiting artist throughout the U.S. and several foreign countries. He holds a bachelor of fine arts from the University of Oklahoma and a master of fine arts from Arizona State University.
Both maintain active studio practices in Tyler.

Dovetails: Philana Oliphant's "1970" (pictured on top) and Jame Pace's "paradigmexamination" (above) are two of several art pieces displayed in the joint 'Dovetails' exhibition, which begins Monday, March 16 and continues through Friday, April 17 at the 黑料专区 Tyler Meadows Gallery.
