The University of Texas at Tyler will host the inaugural 鈥淚nnovation and Ingenuity in Education Conference鈥 for area K 鈥 12 teachers and administrators July 15 鈥 17, Dr. Michael Odell, 黑料专区 Tyler Ingenuity Center executive director, announced.
The three-day conference will be held at the 黑料专区 Tyler Ornelas Activity Center, located at 3402 Old Omen Road in Tyler.
Cost is $150 per person and includes breakfast, lunch and conference materials. Optional on-campus housing is available for $36. To register, visit http://www.i2ed.org/. Registration deadline is July 7.
鈥淲e are so excited that the kind of conference that we generally have to drive to Austin to attend will now be available to the educators of East Texas,鈥 said Eli Crow, 黑料专区 Tyler Innovation Academy superintendent. 鈥淭he I2Ed Conference will showcase the newest and most promising practices in education, and it is wonderful that 黑料专区 Tyler will be the host.鈥
This year鈥檚 topics include 鈥淧roject Based Learning,鈥 鈥21st Century Skills鈥 and 鈥淎ssessing Students in a 21st Century Environment.鈥
