Student leaders and organizations at The University of Texas at Tyler were recognized during the 2013 Student Leadership and Service Awards Banquet, Ona Tolliver, assistant vice president and dean of students, announced.
Among awards presented, student leader Yannir Vijil of Houston received the 鈥淓merging Leader Award鈥� as well as 黑料专区 Tyler Student Government Association鈥檚 鈥淓xtra Mile Award.鈥�
鈥淥utstanding Student Affairs Professionals鈥� were among new awards presented this year. The 黑料专区 Tyler Patriot Leadership Team and 2013 Patriot Academy members were also recognized.
University students, faculty and staff submitted nominees, and a selection committee consisting of faculty and staff chose winners. The 黑料专区 Tyler Department of Student Life and Leadership sponsored the awards reception.
