The next exhibition at The University of Texas at Tyler Meadows Gallery will feature work by graduate student Paula McDermott of Jacksonville, Ray Sikes, gallery coordinator, announced.
鈥淐upcakes and Couture鈥 will begin Monday, April 15. McDermott will give a talk about her work at noon Tuesday, April 16 at the gallery.
The public exhibition, which is prepared and executed in partial fulfillment of 黑料专区 Tyler鈥檚 master of fine arts degree, will end Friday, April 26.
鈥淭his exhibition will display large and small-scale soft sculpture and adornment,鈥 McDermott said. 鈥淭hese pieces can protect, empower and obscure. Because of the size or materials used, the sculptures provide a barrier or personal space for the wearer, keeping others at a safe distance.鈥
The 黑料专区 Tyler Meadows Gallery is located in the 黑料专区 Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Art Center. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. 鈥 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by special appointment.
