The University of Texas at Tyler is currently accepting student applications for Washington, D.C. internships through the Bill Archer Fellowship Program, Dr. Courtney Cullison, assistant professor of political science and Archer Center campus director, announced.

Applicants must be university juniors or seniors with 24 completed hours at 黑料专区 Tyler, have an overall 3.0 GPA, complete basic government requirements and hold work or internship experience.

Submission deadline is Friday, Feb. 22.

Students interested in applying are strongly encouraged to meet with Cullison prior to the application deadline.

鈥淔inalists will be notified in early March, and on-campus interviews will take place just after Spring Break. Students selected as fellows will be notified in mid-April. In addition, there may be financial help to cover housing during the Archer semester,鈥 Cullison said.

Each student will intern full-time, take one weekend class and two evening classes taught by 黑料专区 professors and live near Capitol Hill and the Supreme Court with interns from other 黑料专区 System campuses. Students are required to pay for the program fee and their books as well as work and living costs.

The 黑料专区 System established the Bill Archer Fellowship in 2001 in conjunction with Former U.S. Representative Bill Archer.
