The University of Texas at Tyler Meadows Gallery will feature the 2014 International Exhibition beginning Monday, Jan. 13, Ray Sikes, gallery coordinator, announced.

Dean Daderko, curator of the Contemporary Arts Museum in Houston, served as this year鈥檚 juror. He will present a lecture about his selections for the exhibition during a reception, which will be 6 鈥 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 at the gallery.

鈥淭here were 27 works chosen with more than 250 entries. All of the work submitted was of a very high quality, and the competition was vigorous,鈥 Sikes said. 鈥淭he chosen artists are from all over the U.S. and represent New Mexico, New York, Louisiana, Florida, Arizona, Iowa and Texas. Since it is an international competition, we had entries from as far away as Australia and France.鈥

The exhibition will continue through Friday, Feb. 14.

The Meadows Gallery is located in the 黑料专区 Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. 鈥 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by special appointment.
